Privacy Policy

Summary: Queen Grafter stores only the data you enter about your queen rearing operation. We do not sell your data, we do not serve ads, and we do not share your information with third parties except as required to operate the app (Firebase / Google Cloud).

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the app's features:

Account information — your email address and display name, used to create and identify your account. Queen Grafter uses the same authentication system as Bee Inspector, so a single account works across both apps.
Queen rearing data — grafting sessions, milestone dates and completion records, mating nuc inventory and event history, reared queen records (including VSH Q(D)W scores, intro outcomes, first-lay dates, and brood pattern scores), and breeder queen selections. This data belongs to you.
Colony data — standalone colonies and queens you create within Queen Grafter.
Bee Inspector data (read-only, if linked) — if you sign in with a Bee Inspector account, Queen Grafter reads your existing hive, apiary, queen, and inspection records to provide breeder scoring and colony views. Queen Grafter does not write to or modify your Bee Inspector data.
Device token — a Firebase Cloud Messaging token used to deliver milestone push notifications to your device. Stored in your account record and rotated automatically.
Calendar event IDs (optional) — if you enable calendar integration, the IDs of events created in your device calendar are stored so the app can update or delete them when session dates change.
Device information — basic crash and diagnostic information may be collected automatically by Firebase to help us identify and fix bugs. This does not include personal data.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the Queen Grafter app.
To sync your data across your devices.
To send push notifications before upcoming session milestones.
To provide breeder scoring using your Bee Inspector inspection history (if linked).
To respond to support requests you send to us.
To diagnose bugs and improve app stability.

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Team Sharing

Queen Grafter supports team sharing through the Bee Inspector team account system. If you are a member of a shared account, other team members with access can view your grafting sessions and colony data. You control team membership from the Account screen.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore, hosted in Google's cloud infrastructure in the United States. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS). Access to your data is restricted by Firestore security rules — other users cannot read or modify your records.

Queen Grafter shares a Firebase project with Bee Inspector. Your Queen Grafter records and your Bee Inspector records are stored in separate database collections. The apps share only your authentication credentials and the read-only Bee Inspector data access described in Section 2.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Hosting) — Firebase Privacy Policy

We do not integrate with any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media services.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your Queen Grafter data, all sessions, mating nucs, reared queens, and standalone colonies are permanently removed within 30 days. If you delete your full account, your authentication record is also removed. See the Delete Account page for full details on your options.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data.

You can delete your Queen Grafter data at any time from Account → Delete Account in the app, or by visiting queengrafter.com/delete-account.html. For any other requests, contact us at support@annicastudios.com.

9. Children's Privacy

Queen Grafter is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
